Male Breast Reduction

Male Breast Reduction (for gynecomastia)

Some men may develop breast tissue which can give the appearance of a female breast.  This condition, known as gyencomastia, can occur for no reason or may be related to the use of anabolic steroids, marijuana, or certain medications.  It is quite disconcerting but fortunately treatable.

  •  Either surgical excision or liposuction (or both) can be used to remove the abnormal breast tissue.
  • Outpatient procedure.
  • Can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.
  • Expect a few days to one week out of work.
  • Expect full recovery in one month.
